Alliance Partners to Display Select Mission Critical Technologies at FOSE

CHANTILLY, Va., March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ – GTSI (R) Corp. (Nasdaq: GTSI) announced that it has brought together more than 15 partners to form the Physical Security Alliance (PSA). The mission of this Alliance is to assist in developing an open, standard, secure, reliable, and trusted physical security protection system solution for customers of the Alliance.

“We view physical security protection as an essential element of the larger concept of Homeland Security Protection,” said Arpad Toth, GTSI’s senior technologist and PSA founder. “We are acutely aware that viable solutions for protecting our nation can only be developed and implemented through full collaboration between the private and public sectors. To that end, we have brought together more than 15 of our valued partners to concentrate on the task.”

Mr. Toth explained that GTSI is in a unique position to offer private sector assistance because of its partnerships with leaders of the physical security industry who offer products, services and complex integrated system solutions in the areas of force protection, homeland security protection, physical security protection, automated video surveillance, computer vision, physical and logical access control, identity management, biometrics, smart card, smart door, cyber security and weapons of mass destruction detection.

Through the Alliance, GTSI will function as a “one-stop-shop” providing: system consulting and advisory services; products, solutions, and managed services that offer the best industry-leading physical security and force protection; GTSI-branded PSP multi-vendor solutions; and system integration.

Dendy Young Chairman and CEO of GTSI said, “Over the past year, GTSI has brought its partners together to create branded solutions in areas including VoIP and broadband data communications worldwide, and storage. GTSI-branded solutions, such as the GTSI Agility(TM) mobile office have been used in Iraq, Afghanistan and on ships at sea. I am pleased that we are continuing this tradition, by now introducing GTSI SentriX(TM) that will be the trademark for all GTSI branded physical security protection products, systems, and services.”

“Our goal is to work closely with the best participants of the physical security industry and together serve our federal, state and local government customers. We want to be among the pioneers and leaders that help address the long term security protection mission of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense,” concluded Mr. Toth.

There are alliance members who serve as the property and site planners, physical architectural solution designers and implementers, and end-to-end physical security protection system providers.
