Inteligensa and Innovative Card Technologies to Offer One-Time Passcode ICT DisplayCard to Banks Inteligensa, a Leading Latin American Card Manufacturer, Will Offer Innovative Card Technologies’ One-Time Passcode DisplayCard as Part of a Security Solution for Financial Institutions

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Inteligensa Group, a Latin American manufacturer of intelligent card-based solutions for financial applications, and Innovative Card Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:INVC), developers of the ICT DisplayCard for e-banking, e-commerce and data access authentication, today announce that Inteligensa has become a Gold level reseller of the ICT DisplayCard. Effective immediately, Inteligensa will offer the ICT DisplayCard – the market’s most convenient form factor for one-time passcode authentication – to its 150-200 client financial institutions.

Inteligensa has regional branches in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela, and sells 180 million cards annually, or 35% of all bank cards in Latin America.

“Internet banking transactions and online purchasing must provide the user with full confidence and trust. The InCard DisplayCard is a portable authentication solution that will revolutionize the security in these transactions by assuring the identity of the user,” said Venanzio Cipollitti, President of Grupo Inteligensa. “Its credit card form factor is very convenient, and the Latin American market will highly appreciate this innovation. InCard’s expertise guarantees the quality of these products.” Added Eduardo Cestone, Authentication Product Manager of Inteligensa, “We are eager to introduce this new product to our clients, and have lined up several banks to run test pilots.”

The ICT DisplayCard integrates the security of a one-time password token directly into a card the size of a standard credit or debit card. At the push of a button on the back of the card, a one-time password is shown on the card’s integrated display. During an online transaction, this number is entered into a user interface with other information (such as the user’s static PIN and login name) for multifactor authentication. The information is then sent to an authentication server to verify the identity of the user.

“As an influential supplier of smart cards and authentication systems in Latin America, Inteligensa is a welcome link in InCard’s partner network,” said John A. Ward, III, InCard Technologies’ Chairman and CEO. “The ICT DisplayCard is an elegant solution to the global problem of online banking fraud, which is especially prevalent in Latin America. We look forward to working with Inteligensa to provide a convenient authentication solution to protect consumer data, and we applaud their adoption of this cutting-edge technology.” About Inteligensa
