Transcend USB thumb drivesIf you are looking for a way to battle all the spies trying to figure out your most confidential secrets, Transcend recently launched JetFlash 220 USB thumb drives, fully equipped with biometric protection and AES 256-bit encryption technology. Sounds tough to operate, but Plug and Play installation makes working with this thumb drive a breeze. They can also be used for secure websites, automatically entering logins and passwords when the drive is inserted into the USB slot, according to a review by MOBILEWHACK[end] 

Access IS is gearing up for Security Document World (SDW) 2012 where it will be showcasing its latest range of security document readers.

There the company will introduce its new passport reader - the OCR601 - which is able to quickly and accurately verify the machine readable zone (MRZ) and enables the data in an e-passport’s chip to be read, all in a single action.

Gemalto announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract from the UK’s Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency to supply 40 to 80 million secure Sealys documents for a variety of official permits. These include digital tachograph cards, the next generation of polycarbonate driver’s licenses, and biometric residence permits, in a multi-year contract.
