More controversy in Victoria’s smart card program

Recent reports have stated that despite all the problems and delays in Victoria’s smart card program, myki, the head of the project, Vivian Miners, earned $550,000 last year. While a recent report cleared the Transport Ticketing Authority of any wrongdoing during the bidding process, it did find that the organization failed to handle perceived conflict of interest problems. The project is months behind schedule and computer glitches with the software mean testing may not begin this year.
