Card Technology Group to distribute ICT DisplayCards to major European bank
A deal with Card Technology Group, a European manufacturer of multi-application cards, represents the largest European bank test to date for Innovative Card Technologies’ one-time password, ISO-compliant DisplayCard. The trial for the European bank involves integrating the card into an Open AuTHentication (OATH)-based back-end server to authenticate system logins.
Innovative Card Technologies, Inc., developers of the ICT DisplayCard for e-banking, e-commerce and data access authentication, announced that Card Technology Group (CTG), a leading European manufacturer of multi-application cards, has placed a purchase order for the ICT DisplayCard. The purchase order was placed on behalf of CTG’s client, a major European financial insitution, for a banking systems login trial.
The ICT DisplayCards will be customized and branded for a major European bank. The cards will be integrated into an Open AuTHentication (OATH)-based backend server to authenticate system logins. In this application, the user will enter a one-time passcode displayed on the card’s screen into an online login interface. Used in conjunction with a static password or PIN, the ICT DisplayCard provides secure, dual-factor authentication.
“As a custom designer, manufacturer and distributor of cards with technologically advanced security features, we seek out unique solutions that specifically cater to our customers’ needs,” said Detlef Kammerer, President of CTG. “The ICT DisplayCard will provide our customers with strong authentication security in an easy-to-carry card format. We are very pleased to be offering this cutting-edge technology to our clients, and eager to get this trial underway.”
CTG provides a full suite of products servicing all aspects of security and access card manufacturing and personalization. The company has business partnerships with system integrators, solution providers for access controls systems, IT-Security providers, and cashless payment systems vendors.
“Financial institutions around the globe are showing strong interest in our user-friendly ICT DisplayCard,” said Steven R. Delcarson InCard Technologies’ CEO and President. “We are confident in our product’s performance in this trial, and look forward to working with Card Technology Group to deliver the product to this premier bank.”
