UK employers cautioned of biometric technology dangers in the workplace
A British HR and employment law organization, Croner, warned of the possible human rights infractions and data protection issues as more British businesses employ biometric security technology, according to a Management-Issues article.
While acknowledging the reasoning for use of biometrics in British businesses, Croner makes many suggestions for relieving employee worries. Among the suggestions are: keeping high security standards of employee’s personal information, assuring employees that the information will only be used for security purposes, and starting off the biometric implementation on a trial basis.
