New qualified product list testing announced for TSA

The International Biometric Group has announced that it will begin testing for a new qualified product list for access control for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.

Products that make it through IBG’s testing and are included on the list will then have the opportunity to potentially be implemented at any of a number of airports as the TSA in encouraging airports to implement new biometric security technology.

Product testing will include biometric enrollment stations and biometric readers that can be installed at airports as further security for access. [end] 

Omni-ID announced that it has launched a new extended three-year warranty program for its passive ultra-high frequency RFID tag products.

The Omni-ID product development process consists of proprietary testing that includes pre-production testing and 100% testing at three points during manufacture to ensure the stability and durability of the tags and tag components at delivery and in real world deployments.

FIME, an independent consulting and market integration testing service, has been selected by

IC TAG utilizes Alien Technology’s EPC Gen 2 Squiggle, Squiglette, and Square inlays in their IC-TAG RFID labels and tags. Alien uses its own proprietary microchip, Higgs 3, to produce its ultra-high frequency RFID tracking devices.
