ING Bank Slaski taps Gemalto for EMV

Gemalto announced it has been selected by ING Bank Slaski as supplier of a bundled solution that includes local personalization services as well as EMV cards. The contract also includes value-added services such as tailored cards and advanced packaging. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As part of the contract, Gemalto supplies ING Bank Slaski with Dynamic Data Authentication EMV cards personalized at its Polish facility, located in Tczew.


The Gemalto personalization center provides the financial institution with a broad range of services including card stock management, card personalization and fulfillment.

The facility also ensures a high level of delivery service: 24 hours turn-around time for a new card, the very same day for an emergency request. In addition, it provides services such as banking cards customized with a personal picture, printing text on the magnetic stripe and advanced packaging. [end] 

Gemalto announced it has acquired M2M service provider SensorLogic in an asset arrangement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Plano, Texas-based SensorLogic has a cloud-based machine-to-machine (M2M) service delivery platform. With it, customers can build, deploy and manage M2M products through applications like asset tracking, servicing and telematics and equipment monitoring.

German bank, Sparkasse will pilot contactless payments for its bank credit card users, reports Venture Village.

Locations in Hannover, Braunschweig and Wolfsburg will be some of the first for the trial, which begins in April. More than 1.3 million customers will receive the new bank cards complete with contactless functionality.
