GlobalPlatform offers device that supports requirements of OMTP
GlobalPlatform, a developer of smart card technology, has announced that their GlobalPlatform Device/Small Terminal Interoperability Platform (GPD/STIP) version 2.3 meets the requirements of Open Mobile Terminal Platform’s (OMTP) mobile device execution document, Advanced Trusted Environment. GPD/STIP is a suite of documents that can be downloaded from the international smart card specification Web site.
OMTP released the list of recommendations in an effort to create standards to ensure consistency, interoperability and longevity in technology as the mobile device industry continues to grow. GlobalPlatform sees this move as a necessary one, as the mobile device market becomes increasingly complicated, to help secure mobile device infrastructure as more new technology develops. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/secureidnews-4.gif)
