Smartware unveils virtual e-passport

Smartware will present at Cartes 2008 its Virtual-ePassport, a program designed to test border control systems. The Smartware system will simulate the behavior of contactless smart card chips and the electronic passports Logical Data Structure.

The Virtual-ePassport includes an ICAO PKI module, enabling testers to dynamically signs e-passport content. All existing e-Passport cryptographic schemes including basic access control and extended access control among others are supported.
