Latest electronic locking system will use LEGIC technology
A partnership between LEGIC Identsystems Ltd and Uhlmann & Zacher, a German developer of electonric locking systems, will allow the latter to begin offering locking cylinders equipped with integrated LEGIC technology, enabling the company to produce secure electronic locking cylinders and readers for time recordings.
This extension to Uhlmann & Zacher’s product range was made possible with the signing of a licensing agreement between the two technology companies. The move means LEGIC Identsystems, a major developer of contactless Smart Card technologies for personal identification, is further extending its network of partners in the field of locking applications.
Uhlmann & Zacher is now able to utilize LEGIC technology in its Clex product portfolio in even the smallest space, offering its end users more access control solutions.
“This licensing partnership is in response to growing demand for LEGIC based products, and means that we can offer our customers more focused and applicable solutions for access control and time recording,” said Dr Marc Zacher, Managing Director of Uhlmann und Zacher. “The flexible multi-functionality of LEGIC technology enables the system to be expanded at any subsequent stage. Optionally, it is simple to extend existing LEGIC cards with our applications.”
