Datacard Group, a secure ID and card personalization provider, has released its Smart Card Designer Tool for Datacard identification software. With it, smart card issuers can personalize smart cards quickly by reducing the time and costs associated with developing customized smart card applications.
The new solution also enables issuers to design smart chip encoding processes as easily as designing the layout of a card. Together with a Datacard card printer, identification software and smart card coupler, this tool provides an integrated solution for smart card personalization.
“Users will be able to recover their investment in the software with just a few uses,” said Connell Smith, head of Datacard’s ID Solutions group. “MIFARE card application designs that could take weeks to be completed can in some cases be done in just minutes.”
The tool is integrated with Datacard identification software including IDCentre Gold v6.5 and ID Works Enterprise v6.5 and is compatible with smart card enabled Datacard desktop CP Plus and SP Plus card printers. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/secureidnews-4.gif)
