Cross Match approved for TWIC pilot

Cross Match Technologies, a developer of biometric products, has had their mobile handheld fingerprint reader, Be.U Mobile, approved through the Transportation and Security Administration’s evaluation of products to qualify for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential pilot program.

Ports around the U.S. will use the list of products that pass the TSA evaluation for purchasing and implementing for biometric access control. The pilot tests fro the TWIC program will be carried out at seven different locations. [end]
