SALTO wins award for Salisbury Hospital

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in News

Salisbury District Hospital in the UK has won the 2008 Health Business Hospital Security Award for its SALTO Systems access control installation. The hospital decided to remove a system of codes and key control and replace it with SALTO’s electronic access control system that could provide it with audit trail information.

SALTO’s XS4 locks of this system now provide 90% of the benefits of a fully online access control system at the cost of a stand alone system. It provides Salisbury District Hospital with a fully scalable and future proof access control system with built in growth capability that delivers significant benefits for both staff and patients.

The award recognizes the hospital with making “significant steps towards a safer environment for patients and workers through the implementation of a security policy which incorporates the latest advancements in advanced access control technology.”

The Health Business Awards were presented Dec. 11 at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London. [end]
