U.S., French partnership has a name: ASK-intTag

WS Packaging Group Inc. and ASK, have formed ASK-intTag, a joint venture that will manufacture and market contactless cards and tickets for U.S. and Canadian markets.

The new company will be the print silver-based inlays on paper, the composition of which is highly resistant to forgery. ASK-intTag will produce a range of products for markets involving food, health care, gaming, event ticketing, secure identification, financial bank cards and mass transit, among others. Initial production will focus on secure identification, financial bank cards and mass transit.


Contactless cards and tickets developed by ASK are already being used in transportation networks in several large U.S. cities, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Minneapolis and Philadelphia. [end] 

StarChip and CEA-Leti have inked a partnership agreement to develop a contactless front end for smart card applications.

The partnership includes technology and know-how transfer to StarChip. With this combined experience in secure integrated circuit development and contactless technology, StarChip will roll out state-of-the-art smart card products to enable applications in transport, banking and identity.
