Malaysia to start issuing e-passports

Malaysia will start issuing electronic passport next year, along with other new security features, according to a report in The Straits Times.

The new passport will do away with most of the existing security features will include new features, which adhere to the International Civil Aviation Organization’s passport standards. The passport’s data chip will be increased to be on par with the ones introduced by the U.S.
