Identity management expert joins Hirsch Electronics

Access control provider Hirsch Electronics has named Corey McKinney, formerly with BearingPoint, as its senior system specialist to help Hirsch customers comply with HSPD-12, FIPS 201, PIV and the Federal Information Security Management Act regulations.


McKinney, a Certified Information System Security Professional, was with BearingPoint’s Identity Management Solutions Group, where he helped develop one of the country’s first interagency HSPD-12 PIV implementations, including the infrastructure to create, activate and issue PIV credentials.

During this project and others, he designed and implemented back-end infrastructure for identity management systems, card management systems, public key infrastructure and online certificate status protocol services. [end] 

Codebench Inc. and Hirsch Identive announced the integration of Codebench’s PIVCheck Plus software with Hirsch Identive’s Velocity Management Software, which aims to provide federal government and commercial customers with a solution for identity validation, authentication and PACS registration using mobile handheld devices.
