Ceelox receives GSA schedule contract

Ceelox, a Tampa, Fla.-based provider of biometric flash drives, received their GSA schedule contract # GS-35F-0187V. Ceelox products have been available on the GSA Advantage for more than six months but now they are available through Ceelox directly.

Ceelox products authenticate computer users with fingerprints and protect data with government grade encryption. Ceelox’s tools can assist federal agencies in complying with Office of Management and Budget Directive 06-16 – Protection of Sensitive Agency Information.


The Ceelox Security Suite addresses three IT security needs: identity access management, data encryption and email security. Ceelox Vault is the encryption solution available for desktops or on portable USB flash drives. New Vault Stick drives are available with or without fingerprint scanners.

Ceelox’s GSA Schedule award is a Multiple Award Schedule contract for Schedule 70 (the procurement of IT products, services and solutions). The contract is good for five years.

Ceelox is a strategic alliance partner with The Ashcroft Group LLC, run by former U.S. Senator and U.S. Attorney General, John D. Ashcroft. [end] 

Accurate Biometric announced it has been awarded a contract from the FBI for its Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS).

The contract is a significant one for Accurate as it enables them to offer same-day FBI fingerprint submission services for criminal background checks to clients such as housing authorities, Indian reservations and banks.

Ceelox has announced that it has developed a new solution for biometric-based login to cloud-based applications.

The solution, called Ceelox ID Online, utilizes their own fingerprint authentication in conjunction with OpenID protocol to allow for login to any of the accounts that OpenID services such as Facebook, Yahoo!, Google and many others.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security awarded Accenture Federal Services a 13-month, $71 million contract to add biometric modalities and other enhancements to the US-VISIT program. US-VISIT uses digital fingerprints and photographs. A pilot program included in the contract will test facial and iris voluntary identification enrollment and matching.
