Legic goes to the gym

Legic Identsystems Ltd. has announced a deployment of contactless smart cards to members and employees at Zest, a Madrid-based fitness club.

Zest has deployed contactless smart card to its members at its four locations. The cards are used to access to the clubs as well as for members to secure items in lockers at the club. For the future Zest is testing further applications for the customer card, including payments in the cafeteria, the vending machines and possibly even in the sun studio.

Staff at the gym also have a contactless pass, which also serves as a time and attendance token and is connected to an IT system which stores various information about the fitness studio staff. All staff also have their own locker, which can be locked with the same card. [end] 

LEGIC has announced that the K&N Kenanga International building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has installed a new physical access control using LEGIC’s contactless technology.

Located in Kuala Lumpur’s central business district, the Kenanga building is a 22-story commercial structure with a three-and-a-half-story annexed podium block.
