Bell ID tapped for EMV in Africa and Middle East

Friday, May 15, 2009 in News

Bell ID announced that its Card & Application Management System (ANDiS) has been selected by Universal Payment Services, a transaction service provider of payment card services in the Middle East and Africa, to enable EMV smart card issuing solutions.

Bell ID’s ANDiS platform will initially perform EMV data preparation to provide EMV issuing services for multiple banking customers. As ANDiS is implemented it will enable UPS to offer additional card services in subsequent stages. These include EMV scripting, parameter management, post issuance personalisation and instant issuance services.

The ANDiS Card & Application Management System is a fully vendor independent system, enabling UPS to select the smart card brand of their choice for its customers. The implementation includes integration with the RS2’s Bankworks software. [end]
