Global authentication body names two to board

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

The International Authentication Association has elected two new board members, both from the UK. They are Richard Burhouse, Payne Security, a provider of brand protection and document authentication, and Mark McGlade, Ingenia Technology, which specializes in authentication and verification of product packaging.

The association, headquartered in the UK, was formed in 2007 and brings together 20 of the world’s suppliers and users of authentication technologies. Its aim is to promote the use and benefits of authentication as part of a comprehensive anti-counterfeiting and piracy strategy, protecting products, documents and their users from the threat of fraud. [end]
