LaserCard received $3.1 million order for Green Cards

LaserCard Corp. announced receipt of a purchase order of approximately $3.1 million for the supply of additional U.S. Permanent Resident Cards, or Green Cards. The order calls for deliveries to be completed by December 31, 2009.

The U.S. Green Card used LaserCard’s optical memory technology in combination with other security features, including the company’s Personalized Embedded Hologram, a feature used by inspectors or agents when electronic readers are not available.

The purchase order was received from General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, prime contractor to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security. [end] 

LaserCard has received a purchase order valued at approximately $2.1 million for chip-ready, optical security media-based credentials for the Saudi Arabia National ID Card program. The ID cards are issued to Saudi citizens nationwide for identification, e-government and regional travel purposes.
