Dynamic Card Solutions releases EMV Smart Start for card issuing

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Dynamic Card Solutions (DCS) has released EMV Smart Start, a bundled suite of software and services designed for card issuers who want to issue EMV credit and debit cards.

EMV Smart Start features DCS’s CardWizard software and associated hardware, as well as comprehensive consulting services, so that issuers will be able to produce and deliver EMV card offerings without needing to consult a third-party service bureau.

According to DCS, many U.S.-based cardholders who travel internationally where EMV cards have become the payment standard are unable to complete transactions with their magnetic stripe cards. EMV Smart Start suite enables more financial institutions to distribute more EMV cards, helping to eliminate this problem.

DCS’ card issuing technology supports the full array of card types from virtually all card manufacturers including native, GlobalPlatform and MULTOS. This gives the financial institution the ability to issue multiple card types, including traditional magnetic stripe cards, EMV, contact and contactless cards. Cards can then be used on both chip-and-pin and stripe-and-sign systems. [end]

Dynamic Card Solutions (DCS) announced the release of its latest software application for card issuance, CardWizard 5.2.

CardWizard 5.2 enables financial institutions to issue magstripe, contact, contactless and EMV payment cards in the branch or back office, allowing customers to instantly receive new cards at account openings, or get replacement cards in case of loss or theft.
