Nedap Security Management has extended the use of its Convexs and Invexs readers to be able to read DESFire EV1 cards as well as several other card types.

The card readers support different encryption technologies, including AES. Migration of standard Mifare to DESFire EV1 can be done with a configuration file that can be programmed via a key card, as well as through wired communication with the reader. The card readers have a SAM module that enables storage of the DESFire keys.
