idOnDemand adopts ActivID solution to manage smart cards

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

ActivIdentity announced that idOnDemand is using its ActivID Card Management System to simplify the issuance and management of digital credentials on smart cards.

idOnDemand is using ActivIdentity’s system as the back-bone of its cloud-based service in order to better issue, distribute, and manage digital certificates on smart ID cards for physical, logical, remote and online authentication services.

idOnDemand consolidates multiple digital credentials such as building access cards, remote VPN tokens, and multiple user names and passwords into a singles mart card. According to ActivIdentity, the idOnDemand service eliminates the necessity of deploying and managing digital identities on-site and ensures that organizations of all sizes can take advantage of smart identification. [end]
