idOnDemand, Ingersoll team up to deliver multi-purpose security solution

Wednesday, June 23, 2010

idOnDemand and Ingersoll Rand have partnered to enable smart card technology and secure identity development. This effort allows small and large businesses the ability to compile the necessary credentials of an individual so that they may access both a physical building or online secure network.

The product will not require a separate token to be granted access to each arena, instead this is meant to promote efficiency with the use of a single card.

The joint effort will allow businesses to properly secure their data and networks without the complex infrastructures. Customers will receive a strong credential that allows easy transition away from traditional technologies and gives way to a higher security open standard strategy. With this they are addressing and making possible the customer’s request for a convergence solution. [end]
