MaxID Corp appoints Roger Morrison as director of federal sales

MaxID Corp, a provider of identity and security solutions, announced the appointment of Roger Morrison as director of U.S. Federal sales, who brings more than 20 years of experience in sales, in the federal sector.

Prior to joining MaxID Corp, Roger Morrison was director of sales for the federal division of DataStrip. Additionally, he’s held senior positions at Cogent Systems, Cross Match Technologies, Iridian Technologies, TRW and Digital Biometrics. He’s worked closely with system integrators such as NGC, SAIC, EDS, Bearingpoint, Accenture, CSC, Unisys, SAGEM over his career to develop federally-focused business to agencies such as DoD, DHS (and TSA), and Department of State. [end] 

The General Services Administration (GSA) has implemented its first cloud-based physical access system at the Neal Smith Federal Building in Des Moines, Iowa.

The GSA contracted with BridgePoint Systems to utilize its TrustAlert Physical Access Control Systems. BridgePoint partnered with EmbarkIT to install the system, which replaced the GSA’s 10-year-old legacy system. The system leverages the GSA’s Kansas City, Missouri-based WAN and remote IT infrastructure, which allows the building to shrink its carbon footprint.
