Entrust presents webinar discussing smart card convergence

In order to help organizations converge logical and physcial access into one credential, Entrust is hosting a webinar May 10 at 11 a.m. EDT. Frost & Sullivan Global Program Director of Smart Cards Jean-Noel Georges and Entrust Senior Marketing Manager Mike Moir will present the live, interactive webinar.


The following topics will be discussed: • How can a person be identified for physical or logical access? • Is a smart card really secure? • What are the benefits of access convergence? • Where is Entrust adding value for a converged logical and physical solution?

Large, high profile events, like the London 2012 Olympics, need to be secure while also enabling individuals to get where they need to go without too much of a security hassle. Mark Joynes, director of Product Management at Entrust, explains how security and identity plans for these events are created. He also discusses Entrust’s involvement with the Interpol employee credentials that is used for crossing borders as well as physical and logical access to Interpol facilities and networks.
