SAFE-BioPharma, a Ft. Lee, N.J.-based non-profit consortium of biopharmaceutical companies, is seeking nominations for its first Digital Identity Awards program. Nominees should recognize innovative uses of the global digital identity standard or institutions and individuals contributing to a broader understanding of its benefits.
Nominations can be in any of the following categories: innovative implementation of the SAFE-BioPharma standard in biopharmaceuticals and health care; innovative product compliance; an individual who has contributed to the standard’s use and advancement; regulatory advances; the use of the standard globally or regionally; and journalistic reporting in advancing understanding and use of the standard.
Deadline for nominations is Dec. 15. Nominations will be judged by the SAFE-BioPharma board of directors and winners will be announced in February. A nomination form is available here.
The SAFE-BioPharma Association was developed to transition the biopharmaceutical and health care communities to paperless environments. The association manages the digital identity standard, which was co-developed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Medicines Agency.
