Thursday, December 8, 2011

Banca Monte Paschi Belgio, the Belgian branch of this banking group, has opted to implement Oberthur Technologies’ end-to-end smart authentication product.

Certified by MasterCard, the solution includes smart display cards, an authentication server and an access control server that will secure e-commerce services and provide a unique and innovative payment solution to Banca Monte Paschi Belgio customers.

The smart display card is a dual interface bank card and a two-factor authentication device with display and keypad embedded in the ISO card form factor. Oberthur will host the two servers in one of its PCI-DSS-certified service centers.

The product was designed through a collaboration between MasterCard, Banca Monte Paschi Belgio and Oberthur. Oberthur worked with NagraID Secuirty to create the smart display card. [end]
