Smart Cards and Privacy Paper Available at no cost

The Smart Card Alliance, an industry association championing the use of smart cards in North America, has released a new white paper called Privacy and Secure Identification Systems: The Role of Smart Cards as a Privacy-Enabling Technology. For the past two years, the Alliance has issued a series of insightful papers on truly important topics in the ID systems arena. This is no exception. And while the Alliance does promote smart card technology, the entire series of white papers has value to issuers of other technologies as well.
