Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS) announced that Dole Fresh Fruit, a subsidiary of Dole Food Company, will be utilizing iGPS’ all-plastic, RFID embedded, pallets for the shipping of its products within North America.
iGPS’ durable, 100% recyclable, all-plastic pallets are non-porous – preventing the absorption of liquids and wood-boring insects, which can cross-contaminate food. And while providing a protected means of transporting food supplies such as those shipped by Dole, IGPS’ pallets are also 30% lighter than conventional wood pallets, cutting fuel costs and greenhouse emissions.
iGPS’ plastic pallets provide safe working conditions, with no protruding nails or splinters. The embedded RFID enables businesses to track their shipments real time, and the durable plastic pallet is designed with environment in mind.
