The Pikes Peak Library district is partaking in a $1.8 million venture to tag each of its 1 million books, CDs, DVDs and other items, according to a local news article.
To speed up the check out process for patrons and free up staff for time, the district will install new equipment and affix RFID tags to everything in its collection.
The district began implementation back in March, and is expected to be near completion by the end of May.
