DHS awards biometric capture contract to USIS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has awarded a contract to US Investigations Services Professional Services Division Inc. (USIS PSD), a background investigations provider, to conduct biometric capture services for immigration benefits and U.S. citizenship.
The contract is categorized as an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The terms are for one base year with four one-year options. For the five-year period of the potential contract, its value is $889 million.
Under the contract terms, USIS PSD will provide biometric capture services at over 130 USCIS Application Support Centers. Geographically, the contract covers all 50 states, plus U.S. territories.
