GAO RFID announced a new active RFID tag, which has an expandable memory of 8,000 bytes for storing user and process information.
Designed for collecting real-time data for identification, tracking, tracing and localization, this ultra-high frequency active RFID tag, model 137004, operates at a frequency of 868MHz or 915MHz ISM Band.
This RFID tag has an identification rate of 100-tag/s, and it has a battery life span of over 6 years without replacement. Capable of identifying 2,000 tags simultaneously, it utilizes an anti-collision multi-tag handling algorithm which provides accurate and efficient communication even in the presence of a large number of tags.
Using progressive radio frequency technology, the tag transmits data at distances of up to 100 feet from a hand held device or up to 300 feet from a fixed interrogator.
