General Meters Corporation – University OneCard System announces OneCard Database Version 6.5 Platinum Plus
The next OneCard release (6.5 Platinum Plus) requires no further hardware upgrades beyond those required for OneCard 6.0 and offers another enhancement: the addition of a new RDD (Replaceable Data Driver).
OneCard 6.5 Platinum Plus will utilize the following RDD’s: DBFCDX (Standard Mode) and AXDBFCDX (with Advantage) as we will switch from NTX indexes to CDX indexes.
The new driver adds RDD for ver 6.5 (Platinum Plus): ADORDD which permits One Card to access any Microsoft ADO accessible database.
All major database systems (Oracle, Informix, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and more have ADO drivers available).
This ADO RDD addition to One Card is in testing now and is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2003. It will be provided at no cost to all clients.
6.5 Platinum Plus is designed to run on version 6.0 hardware upgrades which many General Meters clients have already completed or have on order. Those clients or prospects that have not yet upgraded/installed OneCard version 6.0 – please contact Jeff Zander Tel: (818) 784-6665 Email: [email protected] to insure your campus will be able to take advantage of this product offering in 2003.
