IGEL Technology, a thin client manufacturer, and biometric identity verification provider DigitalPersona Inc. have partnered to enable fingerprint biometrics as an authentication credential to virtual applications hosted on a Citrix XenApp server.
IGEL Linux can now manage user credentials on Citirx XenApp servers with DigitalPersona Pro Enterprise v5.3 and 5.4 authentication software on x86 based IGEL UD2, UD3, UD5 and UD9 devices. Fingerprint readings can be done on DigitalPerona’s U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint Readers which connect to IGEL thin clients through a USB drive.
