Ingenico announced that it will integrate support for Isis’ Mobile Commerce Application into its line of new Telium series point of sale (POS) devices.
Retailers across the U.S. using Ingenico’s Telium POS systems will be able to offer customers Isis-powered contactless payments, loyalty and coupons, all of which can be redeemed with the tap of an NFC-enabled smart phone.
Ingenico joins VeriFone, another point-of-sales equipment provider, in supporting the roll out of Isis in the U.S.
In addition to the Isis roll out, Ingenico has taken a controlling interest in Boston-based ROAM Data, an “mCommerce Platform-as-a-Service” (PaaS) provider that extends the physical point of sale to the mobile environment.
