A growing number of companies are displaying the NFC Forum’s universal symbol for NFC connectivity, the “N-Mark,” on smart posters, tags and media, promotional materials and Web sites.
According to the NFC Forum, more than 1,000 companies worldwide have signed the N-Mark Trademark License Agreement and downloaded the logo. In addition, dozens of companies to date have publicly stated their commitment to using the N-Mark with their products and services.
Marquee N-mark supporters include: NEC Corporation, NXP Semiconductors, Sony Corporation, CSR and Research In Motion.
In response to this increasing popularity, the NFC Forum announced that it is broadening the availability of the N-Mark to software developers and makers of NFC-enabled devices.
Interested parties can obtain the N-Mark today by applying for a free license, which can be downloaded from the NFC Forum website.
The NFC Forum is also offering an N-Mark Brand Guide to educate N-Mark licensees and encourage proper usage of the logo.
