Oyster users charged double for topping up

Some of London’s public transit passengers are being charged double when topping up their contactless Oyster Cards.
According to BBC News, Transport for London (TfL) has received 2,421 complaints this year about double charges, resulting in refunds of nearly £40,000.
TfL has advised Oyster users to check their bank accounts after loading credit onto the cards, but assured BBC News that it is constantly monitoring the system and there is no evidence that the problem is getting bigger.
