The Radio Frequency Identification Center of Penn State’s Behrend campus has received a $500,000 grant to expand its current operations. The grant, the largest in the center’s history, comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
The center assists Pennsylvania-based businesses in conducting applied research projects and fostering work-force development. It is part of the Sam and Irene Black School of Business, and its RFID programs are integrated into business and engineering courses.
