Articles about the use of RFID in passports are becoming more balanced, RFID Journal editor Mark Roberti blogs, citing a recent L.A. Times article as evidence (correspondent Jane Engle explained the concerns of privacy advocates about a proposal to use RFID in passports, and what the U.S. State Department did to address them).
Though there are still the naysayers, RFID Journal points to another article on the new passport cards, published by Federal Computer Week’s online outlet, which spelled out criticisms from privacy experts and the response of government representatives.
