Fujitsu has announced that Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA, a luxury goods holding company, has deployed Fujistu’s PalmSecure palm vein authentication system.
The PalmSecure system is being employed by Richemont as an access control solution at its headquarters in Switzerland.
PalmSecure is being integrated into Richemont’s already installed SensoBrain and SensoBox from SensoMetrix, which serves as the brains behind the physical access control system for the headquarters.
The company chose PalmSecure due to its need for reliable physical access control to better secure the high-end goods it handles for its clients, but specifically chose the palm vein scanning option due to environmental issues affecting their previous biometric system.
