Both the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Bold 9930 will come equipped with NFC chips, making them ready for a host applications including contactless payments, tag reading, device pairing and more.
The other three phones will be revamped versions of the BlackBerry Torch. All five handsets will feature 1.2ghz processors and improved memory storage over previous models.
According to Finextra, RIM’s move into the NFC arena is designed to help the smart phone giant regain some ground lost to Apple and Google, who both have NFC plans down the pipeline.
