Smart card alliance acknowledges industry councils
17 July, 2012
category: Smart Cards
Smart Card Alliance, the leading source of information, acceptance and use of smart card technology, is honoring its most devoted and distinguished members.
Smart Card Alliance’s Honor Roll is designed to recognize those members who display exceptional diligence and devotion to the advancement of the smart card industry.
Each year, the top contributors from each of Smart Card Alliance’s industry councils – Access Control, Health care, Identity, Payments and Transportation – are recognized for their outstanding commitment and enthusiastic participation in council initiatives.
Excluded from the 2012 list is the newly established Mobile and NFC council, which focuses on the awareness, and adoption of payments, marketing, promotional offers, peer-to-peer, identity, and access control applications using NFC.
The member-led industry councils act as the driving force behind smart card implementation in the U.S. as well as the main provider of reliable educational material for smart card markets worldwide.
Through the hosting of educational events, webinars and workshops on key industry topics, responding to issues in the media, developing industry comments and positions on key government initiatives, and forging relationships with other key industry groups, Smart Card Alliance has established itself as the foremost authority in the smart card industry.
