The survey polled attendees of the National Retail Federation’s 2013 annual conference and found that 53% of respondents felt Google will be the prevailing mobile wallet in the marketplace. PayPal garnered 25% of the vote, and ISIS nabbed 4%. However, nearly 20% of respondents felt that a new player could enter this segment and do well.

Respondents also felt that mobile payments had more difficulty protecting customers’ privacy and were more susceptible to fraud.
