TfL taps ASK for commemorative Royal Wedding Oyster card

Transport for London (TfL) is launching a new limited edition Oyster smart card to commemorate the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on April 29.
The new card, provided by ASK, is equipped with a NXP Mifare DESFire chip that allows visitors and residents to tap pay for rides on London’s buses, trams, Tube, DLR, London Overground, National Rail and Riverboat services during the event.
“We are proud to be involved in this limited edition card’s production,” says Christophe Peix, sales director at ASK. “London is one of the 25 capital cities of the world using ASK contactless smart cards. Our sustainable technology based on silver ink printed antenna, has proven highly reliable for over 190 million contactless cards and tickets already delivered worldwide.”
