Integrated cybersecurity provider ThreatMetrix and information and risk management company TransUnion have partnered to share fraud prevention features. The result is that each company has its own enhanced platform for e-commerce businesses, financial institutions and social media sites.
ThreatMetrix has incorporated TransUnion’s Contact Verification Service into its ThreatMetrix Cybercrime Defender platform. This service has been branded the TrustDefender Identity Verification Service and provides real-time online contact verification.
TransUnion is formally introducing its Device Verification Service, which has been integrated with ThreatMetrix’s Cybercrime Defender Platform. TransUnion customers can use it to verify risks associated with individuals initiating transactions and the device they are using for the transaction.
The integrated service also offers real-time positive identity confirmation and device threat assessment, a single service offering that integrates the types of verification, fraud reduction and compliance with FFIEC’s 2011 guidelines.
