The Integrated Technology Group, a division of Vernon Library Supplies, Inc., announced Friday it will be installing its Apex RFID technology in North Carolina’s Hickory Public Library.
The system will include Apex XpressCheck patron self-service kiosks, an Vista AutoReturn Book Drop and the patent-pending Apex AV Xpress™ security case unlocking system.
“It is so exciting to see more and more libraries recognizing the advantages and benefits that RFID can provide,” said Chris Harris, senior account manager for SirsiDynix, in a news release. “It is always positive to see organizations, like the Hickory Public Library, be willing to embrace change for the good of patrons and staff.”
