VoiceVault released of a new version of its voice biometric product called VoiceVault Fusion, according to a TMCnet article. Although the system can be used for a number of authentication needs, one of the most prominent for the technology is in call centers that provide a caller access to a personal account containing sensitive data.
The release of Fusion brings a variety of ways that the VoiceVault system can operate.
Among the available verification modes, all of which at least authenticate the user by a unique voiceprint are:
*Challenge response mode, which requires a user to say a specific phrase;
- Text prompted mode, which prompts a user for speech but not a specified words or phrase,
- Conversational speech mode, which authenticates a user’s voiceprint during normal speech with an operator.
In addition to the new modes offered, VoiceVault will also now be able to offer voice biometric solutions to on-premise, hosted, smart phone and tablet-based business needs.
